About Pit Lane Open
A free track day finder for car drivers and bike riders, built because finding a date shouldn't mean opening ten websites.
Pit Lane Open is run by Chris Pollitt, a motoring enthusiast who got fed up with checking a dozen organiser websites every time he wanted a free Saturday at a circuit. The site brings UK and European track days for cars and bikes together in one place, along with honest circuit guides, lap records and the practical stuff nobody tells you before your first day.
Where the dates come from
Every day, the site checks calendars that organisers and circuits publish publicly and lists the dates it finds. Some organisers share feeds for exactly this. We link straight to the organiser's own booking page, so you always book with them, at their price. If an organiser isn't pulled in automatically yet, their page on Pit Lane Open links to their full calendar instead.
Dates and prices can change after we've checked them. Always confirm the details with the organiser before you book or travel.
How the site is paid for
Pit Lane Open is free and will stay free. It's paid for by adverts, which are shown by Google AdSense, and may in future include links to some organisers or insurers that pay us a small commission when you book. That never changes the price you pay, and it doesn't decide what we list or what we say about anyone. Every organiser we can find is listed, paying or not.
Organisers and circuits
Run track days and want your dates listed, corrected or removed? It's free. Send us a message with a link to your calendar or a feed (RSS, iCal or a spreadsheet is fine) and we'll add it.
Lap times
The track day leaderboard is made up of times sent in by drivers and riders. We check each one by hand and reject anything that looks wrong. If you spot a time that you don't believe, tell us.
