Terms of use

The ground rules for using Pit Lane Open.

Last updated: 3 November 2026

Pit Lane Open is a free guide to track days, circuits and lap records for car drivers and bike riders. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

We're a listings site, not an organiser

We don't run track days, sell places or take bookings. Every date we list is run by the organiser named on it, and when you click Book you go to their website and book with them, on their terms. Any contract for a track day is between you and the organiser, not us.

We check organiser and circuit calendars every day, but dates, prices, noise limits, formats and availability change, and we can get things wrong. Always check the details with the organiser before you book or travel. We can't be responsible for a day being cancelled, changed, sold out or different from our listing.

Guides and advice

Our circuit guides, car guides and other articles are general information from our own experience and research. They aren't professional advice. Track driving and riding carry real risks, so follow the organiser's briefing and rules, use proper safety kit, and make your own decisions about your car, your bike and your insurance.

Lap times you post

If you post a lap time, it must be your own and honest. We check times before they go up and can turn down or remove any time without giving a reason. By posting, you agree to us showing your name, car or bike and time on the site.

Links and adverts

The site links to organisers, circuits and other websites we don't control, and we're not responsible for their content. The site shows adverts from Google AdSense. How those work is explained in our privacy policy and cookie policy.

Our content

The text, circuit maps and design on Pit Lane Open are ours unless we say otherwise. Photos are credited to their owners under the licences shown. Please don't copy our content wholesale; linking to us is always welcome.

Liability

We provide the site as it is, free of charge. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for any loss that comes from using it or relying on it. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't be excluded by law.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms now and then, and the date at the top will change when we do. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions? Get in touch.
