Porsche track days in the UK

Where to find Porsche-only days, which circuits suit a loud exhaust, and what to check on the car before you go.

Most Porsches are happy on track straight out of the showroom, and plenty of owners never bother with a Porsche-only day. Any open pit lane day from the big organisers will take a 911, Cayman or Boxster. The Porsche-only days are worth knowing about, though. Everyone around you is in a similar car, the club days come with instructors on hand all day, and a few days run with no noise limit at all.

Porsche Club GB track days

Porsche Club GB is the main source of Porsche-only days in the UK. In 2026 it ran 18 of them at 12 circuits, including Castle Combe, Cadwell Park, Goodwood, Snetterton, Thruxton, Brands Hatch GP, Silverstone GP, Bedford, Croft, Oulton Park, Donington and Anglesey. The days are for club members, Porsches only, and the club runs an open pit lane wherever it can. ARDS instructors are at every day, and you can book them in advance or on the day if there's space.

A few things to know before you book. Electric and hybrid Porsches aren't allowed on club track days at the moment. You'll need your own helmet, as the club no longer hires them out. Prices only show once you're logged in. The club also runs a novice-only day, Pre-'98 days for older cars, and GT-only days with RMA Track Days and RPM Technik. In 2026 those were at Oulton Park, Donington and Anglesey.

The track day calendar usually comes out in December for the following year, and the popular dates go quickly, so keep an eye on the club website from early December. We pick up the club's dates automatically, and they'll appear below as soon as they're published.

Upcoming Porsche-only and club days

None listed right now. Club calendars usually come out over the winter, and we add them here as soon as they're published. In the meantime, any open pit lane day on our full calendar will take your car.

Unsilenced Porsche days

If your car is too loud for most circuits, look out for the occasional unsilenced day at Donington. RMA Track Days ran a Porsche-only unsilenced day there on 20 October 2026 at £499, listed through Porsche specialist RPM Technik, and a similar day in April 2025. Porsche Club GB's own Donington day in September 2026 was listed with no static limit at all.

Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone

The Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone isn't an open track day. It runs driving courses on its own handling circuit, and some of the longer courses include time on Silverstone itself. You can use your own Porsche on some courses if it's approved, and you'll need to be 25 or over to drive the GT models.

Noise

Porsche Club GB says most of the circuits it uses have a 105dB static limit, and that standard cars, Weissach models included, should pass. The trouble starts with aftermarket exhausts and bypass valves. Owners regularly report readings of 104 to 106dB on those, which is borderline at 105 and a fail at the quieter circuits. Castle Combe is 100dB static, measured at 4,500rpm. Bedford has a tight 87.5dB drive-by, and Thruxton's static limit is 90dB. If your car has a switchable exhaust, run it in quiet mode for the test.

Getting the car ready

Porsche Club GB's own advice is a good starting point. Change the brake fluid at least every two years and use a high-temperature DOT4 or 5.1 fluid. Low pads fade and worn discs can distort, so check both. Don't mix tyre makes, and on later 911s you may need to run the rear pressures 6 to 8lb lower than the fronts. Engines use more oil at high revs, so take a can with you. On a 911, don't fill above the three-quarter mark on the dipstick. Arrive with at least half a tank of fuel.

If your car is a 996 or 997.1 911, or a Boxster or Cayman from before the 2009 facelift, it has the IMS bearing. Ask what's been done to it before you go. Your road insurance almost certainly won't cover you on track either. Have a look at our track day insurance guide.

Noise limits at the circuits that matter

These are the usual limits. Organisers sometimes run quieter or noisier days, so always check the day you book. There's more on how testing works in our noise limits guide.

Porsche track days: questions people ask

Do I need to be a Porsche Club GB member for a Porsche track day?

For the club's own days, yes. They're listed as being for Porsche Club members, and you have to log in to book. Ordinary open pit lane days from organisers like Javelin, MSV and RMA will take your Porsche without any membership.

What noise limit will my Porsche face?

Most UK circuits have a 105dB static limit, and Porsche Club GB says standard cars should pass. Castle Combe (100dB static), Bedford (87.5dB drive-by) and Thruxton (90dB static) are the ones to watch if you have a sports or aftermarket exhaust.

When do the Porsche Club GB track days come out?

The calendar has come out in December for the past few years, and dates go quickly once booking opens. We list them on this page as soon as the club publishes them.

Can I take a hybrid or electric Porsche to a club track day?

Not at the moment. Porsche Club GB says electric and hybrid cars aren't eligible for its track days because of circuit safety requirements.
